S50C steel is high strength medium carbon steel under the standard JIS G4051. JIS G4051 S50C has low cold-forming plasticity property, poor welding performance and hardenability, but it has no temper brittleness and cutting properties is ok. S50C steel is used in condition of normalizing , quenching or tempering.

S50C steel is widely used to manufacture mechanical product and spring requiring high wear resistance, not big dynamic load and the i***ct, such as forging of gear, tie rod, roller, shaft, friction plate, agricultural dig colter spindle, heavy load, etc.
